The other day, I paid a retainer for the services of a buyers agent, we had an initial conversation followed by a face to face coffee chat. They talked about the value of their service and what they could do do support me.

What did I like about it? They didn’t sell, it was an open conversation and they consulted about their services.

Why did I do it?

✔ Save time & stress
✔ Retaining years of knowledge and experience
✔ Service

This is the same when you engage a recruiter to support your business with a retained service, and from my experience working under a retained model is where I see the most success for hiring managers.
