Don’t be afraid to use Google during a take home technical test!!
I’ve recently had to organise a SQL based test to a number of candidates and the most successful candidates did the following:
💥 Lean on my experience as an analyst to guide them on the general gist of the type of SQL questions on the test
💥 Use every available resource at their disposal to answer the questions as best they can
💥 List any assumptions that they’ve made whilst answering the questions. It’s not just about writing the code but they want to see how you think as well
💥 Use the pre-reading session wisely and allocate an appropriate amount of time for each question based on their difficulty
