♦♦ If you haven’t got a slick interview to offer process in the current data market you will not get the candidates you want. ♦♦

It is that simple at the moment.

We are working with a client of ours who historically took anywhere between 6-12 weeks from the start of the interview process until the end.

They, however, have seen the state of the market and listened. No more, “we have always done it this way” or “our brand is so strong that candidates will wait.”

Their process is currently down to 2 weeks – TOTAL – start to finish.

Why? Because they want the best people.

So if you are hiring in data listen up. You must:

Realise it is a candidates market and the best candidates, they have lots of options;
Realise you are not as special as you may once have been because all your competitors are also hiring great people and rolling out the red carpet;
Cut that interview process time (time wise, not necessarily the amount), perhaps do back to back interviews or have more than 1 interviewer.
